A high-powered universal computer terminal designed for point-of-sale, warehouse and production line operations.
The metal casing ensures that the terminal is resistant to wear and tear and accidental damage during operation. Compliance with the VESA standard allows for various types of installation using a wide range of mounting accessories available on the market (e.g. Modular Mounting System).
A powerful processor and increased amount of RAM allow the Thermianl to be used as an effective server for local database environments.
CAPABLE OF CONTINUOUS OPERATION IN HARSH ENVIRONMENTS
The components used in the terminal are selected for their ability to operate continuously. The LCD panel has been manufactured to an industry standard, where particular emphasis is placed on longevity, overheating resistance and mechanical strength.
The working area of the screen is a solid glass panel, which effectively protects the front of the terminal from spills. The casing also prevents liquids and dirt from penetrating sensitive areas of the device. The capacitive touchscreen does not wear out and responds effectively to touch in dirty environments.
The passive cooling system does not introduce contaminants from the environment into the casing, so that the 15I5-A can also work effectively in dusty environments.
COMFORT AND ERGONOMICS
The highly sensitive touchscreen can be operated with non-metallised gloves up to 0.8 mm thick. The terminal, thanks to this functionality, will also respond correctly to touch through double gloved surgical gloves. In tests carried out by Posnet, the screen also correctly detected touch with latex-coated textile work gloves.
The bright display with anti-reflective coating guarantees good visibility in different lighting conditions.

CLASSIC ASPECT RATIO
A screen with an aspect ratio of 4:3 is a popular standard in sales systems and industrial applications. Some programmes have not yet been correctly adapted (scaled) to screens with a widescreen aspect ratio, so that the implementation of the 15I5-A terminal reduces the risk of potential problems with the implementation of IT systems - especially those that have been on the market for a long time.
HIGH COMPUTING POWER WITH PASSIVE COOLING
The Terminal 15I5-A is equipped with an eighth-generation processor - the Intel Core i5-8365U made in 14nm architecture. The processor offers a very high ratio of computing power to the amount of heat released, so that the terminal can operate stably with a passive cooling system.
Compared to other popular passively cooled processors on the market, the Core i5-8365U outclasses most of them in terms of computing power.*
