A high-performance computer terminal with a ‘light’ and modern design dedicated to point-of-sale, self-service and information desks.
The ability to install the display in a vertical position is often used at self-service sales counters and information points.
Compatibility with the VESA standard ensures freedom of installation of the terminal using a wide range of mounting accessories available on the market (e.g. Modular Mounting System).
The touchscreen can be operated with a variety of gloves, making the devices suitable for use in dry and wet installation environments.
A powerful processor and increased RAM allow the Therminal to be used as an effective server for local database environments.

CAPABLE OF CONTINUOUS OPERATION IN HUMID ENVIRONMENTS

The components used in the terminal are selected for continuous operation capability. The LCD panel is made to an industry standard, where special emphasis is placed on longevity.
The working area of the screen is a uniform glass panel, which effectively protects the front of the terminal from spills. The enclosure also prevents liquids and dirt from penetrating sensitive areas of the device. The capacitive touchscreen does not wear out and responds effectively to touch in dirty environments.
The passive cooling system does not introduce contaminants from the environment into the enclosure, so the 16I5-A terminal can also work effectively in dusty environments.

FREEDOM OF OPERATION

The touchscreen with increased sensitivity can be operated with non-metalized gloves up to 0.8 mm thick. The terminal, thanks to this functionality, will respond correctly to touch even through double surgical gloves. In tests conducted by Posnet, the screen also correctly detected touch through latex-covered textile work gloves.

DUAL SCREEN LAYOUT

The 16I5-A terminal's widescreen operates at full HD (1920 x 1080) native resolution and displays images symmetrically in each direction (170°/170°). The base of the terminal has been designed in such a way that installing the screen in a vertical position does not expose the device to instability.
Thanks to the above features, several people standing in front of the display will see the projected image correctly and the vertical layout of the screen allows a long list of informations to be displayed conveniently. These features are very often used at self-service sales counters and information kiosks. When installing the terminal in a public space, the base can be permanently fixed to the ground. High computing power allows the 16I5-A terminal to be used as a database server for other self-service checkouts located in the SCO area.

HIGH COMPUTING POWER

Terminal 16I5-A is equipped with an eighth-generation processor - Intel Core i5-8365U made in 14nm architecture. The processor offers a very high ratio of computing power to the amount of heat released, so the terminal can stably operate with a passive cooling system.
Compared with other popular passively cooled processors on the market, the Core i5-8365U outclasses most of them in terms of computing power.*
